So you might have noticed that we haven't updated in a while. That's because in the last week, we at IndieReview have been going over our internal processes in consideration of where the site goes from here.
Up until now XM has been doing basically everything. He managed the site as well as editing all of it's content and posting all of it's news. In order to make IndieReview more of a part-time commitment for him, he's understandably decided to spread the responsibilities around, serving only as webmaster and reviewer, passing the role of Editor over to me.
And who am I exactly? My name's Joseph Gribbin and I've been a staff reviewer since April. You might have seen some of my reviews on the site (and if you haven't, maybe go back and do so. They're totally rad). Here's how next week will go down with me as Editor:
- On Monday Staff Reviewer extraordinaire Derek Kamal will be publishing a review or a column (whichever takes his fancy).
- On Tuesday, I will be publishing a review or a column .
- On Wednesday, XM will be publishing a cake recipe. Or a review. Or a column.
Also, in the near future we are looking to take on more permanent (or at least long-term) staff. And by staff I mean volunteers, because IndieReview is run for free by a couple of hobbyists in their spare time. If you'd like to be a part of that, here's the positions we need filling:
- We want some more reviewers on our core staff. This will essentially mean you'd have to have a review or a column ready every week, probably on the days we're not already covering.
- We're also looking for a special someone to take over our news department. Your role would be to update on various indie-goings on, like competitions, notable releases, or interesting articles from around the internet.
Also, If you'd like to contribute in a less formal manor, then feel free to submit a review using the form up the top there. We're always looking for more content to clog up the front page attract new readers!
So that's about it. We'll be starting up proper with Derek's article on Monday. Look forward to it!

A lovely write up, Joe!
I almost certainly feel there will be more columns and/or reviews here in the near future. Or cake recipes.
