[This is a guest review written by Michael Farrant as part of his internship in IndieReview.]

The story is set around a mysterious object known as Skystone. It floated above the city of Etherea until one day it was destroyed. During the destruction of Skystone it released a harmful poison, mutating all of the people below, turning them into creatures called Mimics. These monstrosities destroyed the land and forced its denizens to live in floating cities. Now, 200 years later, vigilantes fight back to reclaim what was once their home and to restore peace to Etherea.

I must start by talking about its fantastic interface. The keys are simple to use, the story seems rather interesting and not to mention its superior graphics and visuals. I can safely say that although it may not have the best overall graphics, but when you pay attention to detail, you can rally notice the affection and hard effort that has gone into making this game. All of these aspects make it even more of a pleasurable delight to play.

A brief mention about the sound: The sound is completely sync-ed to the game, as the excitement in the game increases, so does the music. This makes the game even more engaging and compelling to keep playing.

When the demo ended I really wanted to purchase the full game, but I had little time on my hands to actually make full use of my purchase. However, if you are into very quirky games, this might be the ideal game for you. By this I mean that you will find things in this game that will completely jog your mind - It is something completely unique and different from other games, which makes it very refreshing to play.

I believe that you have as much fun with the game as I did, and I recommend playing it.

Hi Michael, some points about the review. You described the storyline in your review, but you didn't explain how the game was played.

It belongs in the MMORPG genre in my opinion, but some would class it merely as a multiplayer RPG, both are fine. You also didn't mention that is it browser based with the Flash Player or any of the mechanics like inventory system or battle system.

Another point I would like to point out is how you described your impression of the graphics. So far it seems all you said was "Its good and I like it." It doesn't really say much about how it looks like rather than your opinion of it. The theme of the game follows closely to the tradition of Steampunk and the art style reminds us of Tim Burton cartoons, which may attract or deter players depending on whether they enjoy such fringe artistic renditions.

Hope you can attempt to write in more concrete terms in future.

Our intern has interns? There's something deeply recursive about that.

Haha! It's always nice to be on the other side of the command chain for a bit, ya? ;)
