Island Hopping Review

Rating:

What if Canabalt was an FPS? Island Hopping is a great title that basically answers that question. Augmented with an exhilarating scoring system and unique visual minimalism, this is one excellent arcade game that just leaves you in search of that high score

Eternally Us Review

Rating:

An emotionally charged piece that deals with loss, death and regret in the form of a short adventure game. Coupled with great voice acting and gorgeous artwork, this game is a must-play for all adventure gamers and those who enjoy a good narrative.

Where We Remain Review

Rating:

Where We Remain is a queer adventure game that reminds me of the old Atari Adventure - Learning how to play is part of the game's charm. However, the adventure part ends once you learn the rules, and quickly degenerates into a score grubbing arcade title.

HeroCore Review

Rating:

HeroCore reminds you why you bother downloading and playing these bite-sized chunks of joy we call "indie" games. Sometimes the bite is bland and forgettable; other times, the bite is bitter; then there are times when the bite satisfies.

The Amazing Launchman Review

Rating:

Launchman is a simple game that twists one traditional aspect of platformers - you can't jump, but you can launch yourself in any direction. This very basic premise creates an entertaining title that just screams for more levels.

Crushd Review

Rating:

A puzzle game that plays like Tetris, but instead of building a line, you build a path upwards for our little red friend here, while avoiding getting him crushed beneath the falling bricks. A very simple and fun game betrayed by too steep a learning curve.

Sorcerer's Maze Review

Rating:

A very simple and addictive puzzle game with an emphasis on exploration and adventure. Beating the level is only a small part of this game - it's finding the secret items and exploring the hidden areas that give this title its charm.

Carlsev Saga: Episode I Review

Rating:

Carlsev Saga is a good JRPG, but lacks the essential hooks to make it spectacular. It has a great story and deep gameplay that is unfortunately hidden beneath a slow opening and confusing presentation of events, making it just fall short of JRPG greatness.

Line Patterns Review

Rating:

Line Patterns is an excellent puzzle game that plays a little like turn-based Snake. The simple and addictive gameplay, together with the psychedelic tessellation of the line patterns you create, makes a great game betrayed only by poor user interface design.

Wizard's Notebook Review

Rating:

Wizard's Notebook is an interesting word game that allows you to create things by typing their names, then use your creations to solve the puzzles presented. However, this mechanic creates a lot of expectations that the game is unable to satisfy.
